Kingsley North Cerium Oxide Polish powder is a fine-grade lapidary polishing compound used as the final step to achieve a high-gloss finish on agate, jasper, quartz, and other stones. With an average particle size of 1.5 – 2.5 microns, it delivers a consistent, polished finish. Ideal for use as the final polishing step in both rock tumbling and cabbing, this powder mixes easily with water to form a slurry and can be applied to felt or leather pads on cabbing machines or added directly to rock tumbler loads.
General Usage Instructions:
For rock tumbling in a rotary tumbler, use approximately 1 tablespoon of cerium oxide per pound of tumbler capacity and run for 7 days to achieve a polished finish. For cabbing, either mix with water to a slurry the consistency of a thin cream and brush it onto a felt or leather pad, or dip the stone in water and then into the dry powder before polishing.
