Available in 1 lb and 5 lb bulk sizes, Kingsley North’s 220 Silicon Carbide Grit is a carefully screened abrasive grit for your lapidary needs. In rotary tumblers, it’s commonly used as Stage 2 to smooth out rough edges after initial shaping. In vibratory tumblers, it serves as the first grinding stage. This 220 grit is also the standard rough-grinding stage on vibratory laps for most materials, removing saw marks and smoothing the stone’s surface in preparation for finer grits.
